EDUC 4711  Teaching with Children's Literature

Teacher candidates review and interrogate children's literature from various genres (story, poetry, traditional, realistic fiction, nonfiction) and cultures, with an emphasis on literature that supports aesthetic enjoyment, overall language development (including reader response, writing, inquiry, talk), social-emotional development, cultural awareness, and curricular integration.
