Description:

Teacher candidates explore theoretical and research models for a variety of literacy assessments used in reading, writing, and other language literacies in K-12. Candidates develop an aptitude in conducting, interpreting, and critically examining various literacy assessments (such as running records, miscue analysis, and other contemporary literacy assessments) as well as planning for teaching to address the needs of learners and implement the philosophy of assessment for instruction.
