Description:

Students learn about the relationship between artistic expression and emotional response. They analyze songs that express the inner struggles of the artist, but also give voice to the feelings of sympathetic listeners. They learn and research generic conventions so as to understand how and why these artworks affect us so deeply, generating empathy and social consciousness.
