NURS 1027  Clinical Practicum - Nursing Older Adults

Prerequisites:

NURS 1006, NURS 1016, NURS 1026 with a minimum grade of 60% or SAT; BIOL 1011 and BIOL 2706.

Corequisites:

NURS 1017, NURS 1037

Restrictions:

Enrollment in the Collaborative BScN Program.

Hours:

One hour of lecture, three hours of laboratory work and ten hours of clinical per week for one term.

Description:

In this course students actively participate in developing fundamental nursing knowledge and skills through learning in the laboratory, the simulation and clinical practice setting. An intentional focus is placed on the health care needs of the older adult.
