Description:

Students examine the topic of the Trojan War in its historical, archaeological, and literary dimensions, as well as the afterlife of the war in later periods of Western history, art, and literature down to the present. Students engage with the historiographical, archaeological, and literary methodologies required to separate historical realities from legend, and to assess the impact of the war on the historical imagination down to the 21st Century.
