Description:
Students undertake a thorough and detailed examination of the sources, methods, and theories of ancient Greek and Roman literary research based on a specifically chosen research topic. The instructor will choose the topic in conjunction with student interests and the instructor’s area of research. Students produce a major piece of scholarship in the form of a scholarly essay of significant length, relevant to the chosen topic or theme in the study of ancient Greek or Roman literature.
