Prerequisites:

Three credits of 1000 level ENGL (excluding ENGL 1551, ENGL 1552) or any 18 credits completed (excluding ENGL 1551, ENGL 1552, ENGL 2001, ENGL 2011)

Description:

Students read one long “great book,” usually a novel or long narrative poem, over the semester, meeting in class time to discuss the most recent installment. Students engage in critical conversations with each other and with academic articles on the text, learning how to employ different theoretical and interpretive approaches to one text.
