Description:
Globalization both enframes the possibilities for action at the national level, and opens up opportunities for coordinated efforts beyond the state. Students examine the emergence of the international community, transnational actors, and global citizenship as new political phenomena that could be useful in confronting issues such as global climate change, refugee crises, international terrorism and arms control that transcend the borders and powers of individual states.
