POLI 3226  American Foreign Policy in the 21st Century

POLI 2307

Three hours of lecture per week for one term.

In this course, students explore the historical and political issues at the foundation of contemporary American foreign policy. While this will include a review of critical events in the 20th century, the emphasis will be on the post-9/11 period including the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the ongoing “war on terror” and relations with major powers including Russia and China. Special consideration will be given to the role of the presidency.
