Students examine both structural and interpersonal violence. Using examples such as the residential school system, students critically analyze how political and social arrangements may harm people. The theoretical underpinnings of interpersonal violence are also explored and the complex contexts in which the violence occurs. Criminal and civil law and evidence-informed interventions are studied.
