Prerequisites:

Any 18 credits in Ancient Studies, with at least 6 credits at the 3000 level.

CLAS 4436, CLAS 4427

Description:

Students undertake a thorough and detailed examination of the sources, methods, and theories of ancient history research based on a specifically chosen research topic. The instructor will choose the topic in conjunction with student interests and the instructor’s area of research. Students produce a major piece of ancient history scholarship in the form of a scholarly essay of significant length, relevant to the chosen topic or theme.
