Description:
Students examine the soil as an integral part of our physical environment, studying soil profile characteristics in the context of soil-forming factors, pedogenic processes, and soil classification systems. In laboratory sessions students analyze typical soil profiles in the field and methods of physical, chemical, and biological analysis of soil samples in the wet lab. This course is also offered as BIOL 3397 and ENSC 3397.
