Description:

This course introduces students to basic neuroscientific principles, principles of neurodevelopment, and theories of Applied Developmental Neuropsychology. An introduction to principles of neuropsychological assessment and the relationship between nervous system function, cognition, emotion and behavior is provided. Students are introduced to the design of individualized interventions, in a review of pediatric and adult disorders, including acquired and traumatic brain injury. Biopsychosocial factors and adjustment of clients are addressed in an interdisciplinary approach that covers both clinical cases and research evidence. This course is also offered as PSYC 4216.
