Description:

The objective of this course is to develop an understanding of the origin, distribution and abundance of economically important non-renewable resources. Focus is directed towards the exploration, development, and extraction of earth resources in Canada. Throughout the course, case studies and examples are used to investigate environmental issues arising from the extraction and processing of different resources. Discussion also revolves around the future supply of earth resources in Canada and the rest of the world. This course is also offered as GEOG 3436.
