Description:

Students develop and refine critical thinking strategies required to provide safe nursing care for acutely ill clients. Using caring theory and evidence-informed processes, students learn to develop a holistic approach to caring for clients with common health challenges. The common health challenges explored in this course relate to pain, perioperative care, cancer, end of life, homeostasis involving acidbase/fluid and electrolyte balance, as well as the respiratory and digestive systems.
