NSGD 2017 OR all BScN NURS courses at the 2000-level with a minimum grade of 60% or SAT, or all RPN to BScN NURS courses at the 2000-level with a minimum grade of 60% or SAT.

Restrictions:
This course is restricted to students enrolled in the RPN to BScN Blended Learning Program,
students enrolled in the collaborative BScN and collaborative RPN-BScN program.

12 weeks of online instruction per term.

Description:
This course focuses on an examination of the dynamic nature of culture, in its various forms, and its relationship to client-centered care in nursing practice. Emphasis is placed on helping learners think through the significance of their own and others’ culture in nurse-client interactions, nursing practice, and health care. In particular, learners will examine various approaches to understanding culture and cultural concepts foundational to nursing practice.
